Accompanying projects

The Germany Ministry of Education and Research supports international ties of German universities, research institutes and enterprises with the ultimate goal of building competencies and fostering competitive advantages for industry and the research community in Germany in the areas of research and innovation. Two accompanying projects support networking activities and improve the prospects for the implementation of IWRM concepts.

    Networking and Supporting Activities for the Research Programme IWRM

    The German Ministry of Education and Research created a networking project in early 2009 in order to identify potentials of synergie and foster content-related dialogue and networking between the different projects.

  • Research

    Support of the BMBF Funded Research Programme IWRM by the International Bureau of BMBF

    The need for significant infrastructure investments will arise in many cases from established IWRM concepts , e.g. for water supply and wastewater disposal. However, this implementation step is not part of the joint research projects, except for some individual pilot projects. Consequently, the International Bureau of the BMBF has created an accompanying project to the research projects which aims to improve the implementation prospects of the developed IWRM concepts.
